Pimpri-Chinchwad witnessed a significant milestone in women’s empowerment as DesiColab’s Women’s Initiative for Skilling & Entrepreneurship (WISE) successfully conducted its inaugural program on June 13, 2026, at SUS Garments. Designed as an inclusive incubation platform, WISE aims to equip women with industry-relevant skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and market access, enabling them to establish self-sustaining businesses and achieve financial independence.

The program featured highly practical, hands-on training led by Mr. Sunil Hulsurkar, Proprietor and Director of SUS Garments. Through live garment manufacturing demonstrations, he introduced participants to professional production techniques, quality standards, and efficient workflow practices, giving them valuable exposure to real-world manufacturing processes.

Inspiring the participants to think beyond traditional roles, Mr. Santosh Khawale, Founder of DesiColab and WISE, encouraged women to recognize their talents and transform them into successful enterprises. Mrs. Sapana Khawale highlighted how WISE simplifies key business challenges such as branding, logistics, and market access, allowing women to focus on developing quality products and growing their ventures.

Project Coordinator Mr. Shikher presented the long-term roadmap of the initiative, detailing upcoming workshops, mentorship programs, and market-linkage opportunities designed to support participants throughout their entrepreneurial journey. Throughout the sessions, Ms. Sanskruti actively engaged with the attendees, addressing their questions and ensuring they gained maximum benefit from the practical exercises.

The inaugural WISE program successfully created an environment where women could develop marketable skills, gain entrepreneurial confidence, and access a structured support ecosystem. By combining technical training with business mentorship, WISE laid a strong foundation for transforming homemakers into confident entrepreneurs, contributing to economic growth and women-led enterprise development in the region.
