There is highly favorable environment for creative ideas in the market. Companies are looking for innovative ideas, products and services to invest on. They want to refine their product and services to grow and flourish however harnessing innovation and shaping the ideas is very crucial to make it happen.
There is a need to empower students by training, mentoring and supporting them to ‘create innovative ideas and impactful solutions’ that customers can value. It is important to foster confidence and building entrepreneurial spirit in them. They need to build new mindset and thinking abilities to look for opportunities, analyze problems and build solutions that deliver socio-economic value.

Santosh Khawale
Santosh is the founder and director of DesiColab, a social venture empowering young innovators, change-makers in India.
Santosh belongs to an underprivileged community where it was highly difficult for him to get access to quality education and supportive learning environment. In spite of all challenging situations Santosh perused his education in engineering. He further earned his Master’s degree in Design from IDC, IIT Mumbai. During 2009 Santosh was awarded with scholarship of government of Maharashtra for pursuing higher education abroad. He went to Milan, Italy, for his second Masters in Strategic Design.

DAY 1:
• Learning about the Design Thinking Process to apply it for projects during workshop
•Learning need/opportunity finding and capturing the insights
•Acquiring skills to break problem situation in to mini problems and identifying the gaps
•Learning to use human centric design thinking tools to identify, analyze, present the problems cases, storytelling
•Learning to define and reformulate the problem statements
•Improving skills to find solutions by means of tools of new ideas generation
•Improving solutions by building on each other’s ideas.
•Learning to make quick mockups and visualizing solutions
DAY 2:
• Prototyping the solution in a tangible form
• Testing and validating the solutions
• Skill sharing, Team work, Co-creation, Leadership
• Idea pitch presentations and mockups
• Transforming product/service ideas into potential startup business cases/sustainable ventures
• Proposing the solutions as a potential startup
